the author is definitely able to sell the minimalist lifestyle. the philosophy is laid out clearly and in a way that makes it super easy to apply to your life. although sometimes she got a little too peppy about it, you know, like the people that are always SO HAPPY and you just wanna punch them in the face? i've seen some complaints about how repetitive this book is and i agree, it is repetitive but not unnecessarily. depending on how deep your pack-rat urge goes, you may need someone saying every few pages, "why do you own this? what does it do for you?" etc. but if you are a minimalist in-training you can probably skip/skim a fair amount of this book since you don't need the coaching/reinforcing.
