this book is super cool! i think my favorite thing about it (besides the fact it GLOWS IN THE DARK) is how it shows some of the effects of Marie Curie's work. for example, there is a bit about how the first x-ray and it includes the image (SO COOL)!! Redniss also interviewed a woman who lived through the Hiroshima bombing. the artwork was pretty hit or miss with me. some of it left me going "what the hell is that suppose to be?!?" but other times it was spot-on and incredibly powerful, especially when paired with the narrative.
