i'm a bit on the fence on how i feel about this book. i felt like she had a very martyrdom attitude in the first half of the book which got old pretty fast. i'm not sure if she changed in the second half or i did, but i really enjoyed reading about her time in MN. maybe it was because i worked in "softlines" myself at target and could relate better with her walmart job. i'm also really glad i waited so long to read this book, because the 10th anniversary edition has a new afterward which was just as interesting as the rest of the book and much more relevant to today's economy.
